Peter Ngu Tayong, Head Coach at Tayong Center for Leadership Development, TCLD says, the teaching of leadership courses at Holy Cross International College, HCIC Yaounde will help to transform the mindset of students and raise them to real leaders.
He was speaking on October 5 in Yaounde as lessons for the 2021/2020 school year kicked off at HCIC and all over the national territory.
Speaking to the media, Peter Ngu Tayong, a seasoned motivational coach said, a step taken by HCIC to introduce leadership courses in the school curriculum is a step towards bringing change in the society.
“I am very happy that HCIC has taken this giant step in bringing change to society. These courses will help to transform the mindset of the students and raise them up to be real readers who can inspire, motivate and influence people,” Peter Ngu Tayong said.
He added that, “Today, the world needs leaders and not managers, and tomorrow, it is going to be a world where everybody will think like leaders. Leadership is very important and that is why institutions are looking forward to having more leaders than managers and that is where HCIC is driving.”
“After these lessons, parents will see the difference, because students will be able to speak like real leaders. HCIC is trying to be unique and is setting an example in Cameroon and in Africa,” he said.
According to information, students from Form 1 to Upper Sixth will have lessons on leadership. They will be evaluated at the end of each sequence. This course is aimed at getting the students to think critically, think out of the box and be more innovative.
