We Are Not Disappointed Because We Played Well – Macpaul Dale
The captain of the Bayern Munich FC, MacPaul Dale Messeh says they are not disappointed after losing in the finals of the Holy Cross International College, HCIC Proprietor’s Cup.
Speaking shortly after the match staged on December 14 in the school campus, MacPaul Dale expressed regrets that despite their beautiful show in the finals they weren’t crowned champions.
“It is true that we didn’t emerge champions but we are not disappointed because we played well. You know that in penalties, goalkeepers are never perfect. There is a next time for everything,” MacPaul Dale said.
Quizzed to know if they are going to bounce back during the upcoming edition in 2021, he said, “Oh! I would have loved to be around and play the competition next year but I am writing my GCE Advanced Level exams. I am giving the competition to my junior teammates. I hope they will be crown champions.”
During the finals of the 7th edition of the Proprietor’s Cup, student football team dubbed Bayern Munich FC lost 5 to 3 in the penalty shoot after a goalless draw in the 90 minutes regular time.
